There is a children’s song that came to my mind today, “Be Careful Little Eyes.” Sometimes the Father just bring things to my mind that seem to be completely out of left field. However, those things that seem to come completely out of left field are always right on time and on target. In that children’s song it admonishes us to be careful in what we see, hear, what we do and where we go. It is a reminder that God is concerned about everything that concerns us. It is a reminder that He is watching our lives and wants us to be the best us that we can be.
No one enjoys nor appreciates being corrected when wrong. The first thing out of the mouth is, “Stop judging me.” Yet the Father says that He chastens those whom He loves. Then there is that other buzz phrase, “This is my own truth.” The word of God says, “Sanctify them through thy truth. Thy word is truth. Now I may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but I do know that half-truth is nothing, but a falsehood dressed up! Sometimes our own truth can be a great BIG lie! And the only one we are fooling is ourselves.
