Nicolle is grown and has three children of her own and I am so very proud of her. She is smart and kind and no nonsense. Whenever I have technical issues with my iPhone, computer or smart tv, she is my go-to person and gets me sorted out right away. Just yesterday she asked me, “Mom what are you doing?” Her questioning me wasn’t condescending but a matter of fact tone that had us both laughing. I couldn’t get the password right to save my life. It took me a minute!

When I look at her pictures when she was a toddler, I remember the time that she got a pot out of the kitchen cabinet. She then went to my plant that was sitting on the fireplace mantle with a long vine of leaves hanging down and picked off all the leaves that she could reach. She put the leaves in the pot and brought the pot to me and said, “Greens mommy!” All I could do was marvel and laugh. She was only two years old at the time.

Sometimes when I hear her pray, I hear my own voice. When I read her poetry, I feel that I am privy to creativity in her writing much like my own. When she shares what the Lord is revealing to her I sense that same anointing on her life as the one that God has entrusted to me. I can hardly wait to witness what God will do next in her life. Nicolle is my mini me!
